Pricing and payment
What is the rental fee, and what does it cover?
Every rate is published in full, by day of the week, with no form in front of it. The rate covers tables, linens and more than 300 chairs, both ceremony sites on a wedding rental, set-up and clean-up inside your rental window, and security. The full sheet is on the Investment page.

Three things: agree the date with us, sign the contract, and pay the deposit. All of it can be done electronically, so nobody has to drive anywhere to hold a Saturday. We take cash, money order, Venmo and PayPal.
Check whether your date is openHow much is the deposit, and when is it due?
A $2,000 reservation deposit is due when you sign the contract, and it is non-refundable. Until it is paid the date is not held and can still go to someone else. A separate $500 damage deposit is due alongside it, and that one is refundable: it comes back one week after the event if nothing is damaged and the building does not need extensive cleaning.
When is the final payment due?
The balance is due in full within six months of the deposit, or two months before your event date, whichever comes first. If it is not paid by then the date goes back on the calendar and another couple can take it.

Your date and your hours
How many hours do we get?
A single day rental is twelve hours, noon to midnight. A two day rental runs from noon on the first day to midnight on the second. Set-up, the event itself and take-down all happen inside that window, and none of it is billed as extra hours on either end. If nothing is booked the day before yours we can sometimes open earlier, but that depends on the calendar and is not something we can promise in advance.
Can we get in the day before to decorate?
Access starts when your contracted time starts. The tables and chairs are already set when you walk in, so the room is ready to decorate rather than ready to arrange. If you need the building the day before, book the two day rental, which is what it is for.
Can we hold the rehearsal and the rehearsal dinner here?
On a two day rental, both. The bridal suite sleeps twelve, so the rehearsal, the dinner and the night before all happen on the property. On a single day rental we suggest rehearsing off site beforehand, because your time here starts at noon on the day itself.
Can we book for something other than a wedding?
Yes. Sunday through Wednesday, $500 for six hours, with set-up and clean-up inside that window, and it does not include the suites. A quinceañera on a Saturday is charged the Saturday wedding rate, $6,500, and gets the same access a wedding does, both suites included.

The building
What is the capacity?
More than 300 guests, plus the wedding party. The hall is 7,200 square feet, with an 1,800 square foot mezzanine above it and a 2,400 square foot covered pavilion outside.
Is there heating and air conditioning?
Both. A July Saturday and a January one are the same room.
What kind of tables are there?
Rectangle and round, both provided, along with linens and more than 300 chairs. Tell us which shape you want and how you want the room laid out, and it is set that way before your time starts.
Are there separate bridal and groom suites?
Yes, and both are included on every wedding rental. The bridal suite is off the mezzanine, above the hall, and it sleeps twelve, which is what makes the night before possible on a two day rental. It is reached by stairs and there is no step-free access to it yet, which is worth knowing now rather than on the morning. The groom suite is on the ground floor.

Set-up, vendors and service
Who sets up the tables and chairs?
We do, before your time starts, and we break them down after. Decorating is yours: our staff set the room, not your centerpieces. All we ask is that you clean up after your event, which is what the refundable damage deposit is measured against.
Can we use our own vendors?
Catering is open, the bar is yours to bring, and most outside vendors are welcome. Two have a requirement attached: your caterer and your bartender must both be licensed and insured. The owners verify every vendor before your date, which takes one email and saves the day itself.
What is the alcohol policy?
You can bring your own alcohol. You cannot pour it. A licensed and insured bartender, or a licensed and insured bartending company, is the only one permitted to serve it here. That follows Kansas licensing rather than a house preference, so there is no version of the evening where it bends: no open bar, no self-service, and no alcohol served by guests.

No, because we arrange it and it is already in the rate. Law enforcement is on site for every event without exception, either an off-duty officer or a Sumner County sheriff’s deputy. There is no headcount threshold to work out and nobody for you to book.

Getting here and staying
Where exactly is the venue?
E. 30th St. South and S. Oliver, Oxford, Kansas, in Sumner County. About 20 minutes south of Wichita and 10 minutes from Kansas Star Casino.
Directions and what a visit isWhere do out-of-town guests stay, and is there parking?
The nearest rooms are ten minutes away in Mulvane, at Kansas Star Casino, which is where most out-of-town guests end up. There is more lodging in Wichita, twenty minutes north. On the property there is a one-acre parking lot and two RV hookups.
Can we schedule a tour, or just stop by?
By appointment. It is a working ranch road and someone has to be out there to meet you and walk it with you. Call or message Debra at 316-618-4126, or send the form and we will set a time.
