What we collect
When you send the inquiry form, we receive the date you asked about, whether that date is flexible, your guest count, the kind of rental you are considering, whether you are thinking about an indoor or an outdoor ceremony, anything you write in the notes field, your name, your partner’s name, your email address and your phone number.
If you call or email us instead, we have whatever you tell us and whatever your phone or mail service shows us, typically your number or your email address.
Two things happen without you typing them. Our hosting provider keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for a short period for security and reliability. And the form runs a spam check before it will submit, which sends your IP address and some information about your browser to Cloudflare so it can tell a person from a script. Neither is used to build a profile of you.
What we do with it
One thing: we answer you. If you book, we then plan your event: checking your date, quoting you, and keeping your details on file through the event so we know who is arriving and when.
We do not sell your information. We do not rent it, trade it, or hand it to advertisers. There is no list you have been added to.
Who else sees it
Running a website means using other companies. Each of these handles some part of your information on our behalf, and each is doing a job for us rather than anything of its own:
- Vercel hosts this website and keeps the server logs described above.
- Cloudflare runs the spam check on the inquiry form, and sees your IP address and browser when you submit it.
- Resend delivers the notification email your submission generates.
- Google provides the mailbox that email arrives in, the calendar this site reads availability from, and the analytics described below.
- HoneyBook is the system we use to manage a booking once you have one. An inquiry becomes a project there when we start working on it.
We do not run a database of our own. There is no separate store of inquiries sitting behind this website. What you send lands in an inbox and, if it becomes a booking, in HoneyBook.
We will also hand over information if the law requires it: a subpoena, a court order, or a legal obligation we cannot refuse.
How long we keep it
Your inquiry stays in our email, and in HoneyBook if it became a booking, for as long as we are working with you, and after that for as long as the records of a business have to be kept for tax and accounting.
We have not set a fixed deletion schedule, and we would rather say so than publish a number we do not keep to. What we will do is delete your information whenever you ask us to, which is the part that actually matters to you.
Children
This site is meant for adults planning events. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will remove it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Anything material will be described here rather than slipped in.
